If you’ve always been interested in SCUBA diving, but never had the chance to try it then this introduction to diving deal is made for you. Enjoy diving in a relaxed but professional setting with a qualified instructor by your side.
Course overview:
You’ll start your introduction with a little bit of theory, mostly covering the DOs and DONTs of SCUBA diving in order for you to have a fun and safe experience. You will then go to a swimming pool to have your first breaths underwater and practice some skills with your instructor.
After the pool session, your instructor will take you for your first open water dive and show you the underwater wonders of the Indian Ocean. After this introduction, you will be allowed to dive up to 12m with a PADI professional, for a year.
Accommodation:
This deal includes accommodation in either deluxe tents or chalets.
The Dive Camp: The Deluxe tents are situated in the Dive Camp, right in the centre of Ponta do Ouro, next door to the police station. There are 2 sleeper double tents and 1 or 2 sleeper single tents available. All tents have lamps, fans and power points (South African power sockets) with side tables and shelf space and are fitted with single or double framed beds. All tents include linen (towels excluded). There are communal male and female ablutions and shower facilities on site.
There is also a communal Lapa area where you can mingle, play board games, read a magazine or book, enjoy a meal, have a drink from the bar or eat at the restaurant.
The Piri-Piri chalets: Should you prefer to stay in self-catering accommodation, there are also two chalets that sleep 4 to 5 people each (8 to 9 people in total). Both chalets are built on the same model: They have a small lounge opening onto a kitchenette fitted with a 2-plate stove, fridge, cutlery, crockery and pots and a bathroom with a shower. One bedroom is fitted with a double bed and the second room with 2 single beds or a double bunk bed (sleeps 2) and a single bed. Both chalets include linen. The chalets are situated 500m from the Dive Camp and surround a small swimming pool.
